Christy Walton
Christy Walton is American by birth. Immensely curious by nature, she engages in countless subjects. Throughout more than forty years she has become a great lover, frequent visitor, resident, businesswoman and philanthropist of the Gulf of California, La Paz and Baja California Sur. She has a great passion for the sea, water, children and their education, healthy eating, and the protection and sustainable management of natural spaces, especially the air and watersheds. On each of these issues, she has helped create civil society organizations, including CERCA and Cómo Vamos La Paz, as well as applied research projects and public green spaces, among others. She recently founded Alumbra Innovations, a philanthropic entity for the region. Among her hobbies is painting the spaces and themes that she is most passionate about.
