      Air pollution<\/strong><\/h1>\n

      The electricity generation plants installed in La Paz and Comond\u00fa release toxic and\nchemical substances into the atmosphere, which, although sometimes not seen, end up in\nour lungs every day.<\/p>\n

      Something very important to keep in mind; fuel oil is a fossil fuel, and it comes from the\nresidues of refining crude oil, that's why, when combusting, we can normally see that dark\ncolored stain or sometimes slightly orange colors and reddish in the sky. Emitting mainly\nCarbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOX), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Ozone (O3)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

      \n25% of deaths from heart disease
      \n34% of deaths from strokes
      \n36% of lung cancer deaths<\/p>\n

      \nWith the data from our air quality monitoring network, we discovered that, during 120 days of\nthe year 2020. The number of toxic chemicals and substances harmful to health in the air of\nLa Paz, Baja California Sur, exceeded the limits allowed by the World Health Organization\n(WHO) and Mexican Official Standards (NOM)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

      Air quality Monitoring Network<\/strong><\/h1>\n

      Residing within the territory of the bay of La Paz, we are mainly dedicated to monitoring air\nquality, through the first existing citizen monitoring network in the city, which informs citizens in real time about the state of air quality and environmental contingency states.<\/p>\n
